Meet Dr. Sara Barron

Doctor of Audiology

Sara Barron has worked as an audiologist since the mid-1980s, taking some time off to raise her three children. She was very excited to join AOP in February, 2010. She earned a Doctorate in Audiology in 2007 from Salus University, a Masters degree in Audiology from Columbia University in 1984, and a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from New York University in 1982. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (FAAA), and holds The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A). She is a member of the Pennsylvania Academy of Audiology. She is licensed to practice Audiology in Pennsylvania.

Dr. Barron has extensive experience in assessment of auditory function in infants and children, as well as adult, geriatric and special needs populations. Her areas of interest include hearing aids, cochlear implants, assistive listening devices, tinnitus, aural rehabilitation, educational and pediatric audiology. She has worked as an audiologist in medical, private practice, educational and rehabilitative settings in New York, Philadelphia and Central PA.

She lives in Harrisburg with her husband and children.
